Scheduled posts

Schedule posts to X, LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram and YouTube

Write a post in Post House, pick the platforms and a time, and the Post House Chrome extension publishes it from your own browser, signed in to your own accounts.

How scheduled posting works

Set it up once in Chrome on a computer, then post from anywhere in Post House.

  1. 1

    Connect the extension

Install the Post House extension in Chrome and connect it with a one-time code from the Scheduled Posts page. Each Chrome profile you connect posts with its own accounts.

  2. 2

Write or pick what to post

Press Post on anything Post House made: a Content Studio draft, an image, a video or a file you uploaded. The composer opens with the text ready to edit.

  3. 3

    Choose platforms and a time

The platforms this browser is signed in to start ticked. Post now, or pick a date and time.

  4. 4

    The extension posts it

At the set time the extension opens the platform in a new tab, attaches the file, adds the text and presses Post. Scheduled Posts shows how each post went.

Where it posts

  • X (held to the 280 characters every account can post, so no Premium needed)
  • LinkedIn
  • Facebook
  • Instagram
  • YouTube

Each post is measured the way its platform counts it, so a post that is too long for X is caught before it is scheduled.

What you can post

  • Blog posts, social copy and articles written in Content Studio
  • Images and videos you upload yourself
  • Images and videos made in Post House (generating them needs a paid plan)
  • The output of an automation, on the schedule you set

Why it posts from your browser

Posts go out from the browser you scheduled them in, signed in to your own accounts, so Post House never needs your social media passwords. Chrome has to be running on that computer when a post is due. A post that could not go out on time is marked missed instead of being sent late.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Which platforms can Post House post to?

X, LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram and YouTube, through the Post House Chrome extension in your own browser.

Do I need X Premium for long posts?

No. Posts to X are held to the 280 characters every account can post. The composer tells you when a post is too long, and automations shorten their text for X at the end of a sentence.

Does my computer need to be on?

Yes. The extension posts from the browser it was set up in, so Chrome needs to be running there when the post is due. A post that could not go out on time is marked missed, not sent late.

Is scheduling included on the Free plan?

Yes. Free accounts get 500 credits to write posts and can schedule them, along with images and videos they upload themselves. Generating images and videos needs a paid plan.

Can I post from more than one Chrome profile?

Yes. Each browser or Chrome profile with the extension is its own connection, and a post always goes out from the one it was scheduled in, with that profile's accounts.
